The deputy head of the political bureau of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzouk met on Saturday with Switzerland's envoy to the peace process in the Middle East, Rolan Shteinger.

In the  meeting that was held in Doha, Abu Marzouk discussed the latest political developments in Palestine along with the recent international moves made  recently by Hamas on the international arena.

He discussed as well the disastrous ramifications of Abbas’s  recent punitive measures against the Gaza Strip, noting at the same time that Hamas is open for any serious initiative attempts to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation.

From his side, Shteinger informed Hamas leaders of his state's latest efforts exerted to end the national split and achieve the Palestinian unity.
