The deputy head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzouq, met Tuesday the Russian Ambassador to Cairo, Sergei Kiribchenko.

Abu Marzouq briefed him on the latest  political developments on the Palestinian reconciliation, the efforts exerted by Hamas to achieve it , the developments of the visit of Hamas delegation to Egypt and the Egyptian promises  to open Rafah Crossing.

The two sides exchanged  views on the situation in the region , in particular the American position towards the Palestinian cause and its bias towards the Israeli side.

For his part, Kiribchenko welcomed Hamas’s visit  to Russia stressing his country’s support for the Palestinian cause as a just cause and the need for national unity among the Palestinian factions .
