The office of Refugee Affairs of Hamas assured, on the thirty-fifth anniversary of the massacre of Sabra and Shatila, that massacres are not subjected to a statute of limitation and their perpetrators must not escape punishment.
The office called Friday upon the international community to prosecute the criminals before the international courts for committing war crimes against humanity.
It pointed out that this massacre is one in a series of brutal, systematic and destructive massacres committed by the Israeli occupation who is known for killing children, women, and elderly since the start of the conflict and in different places and circumstances.
“ The anniversary coincides with the worsening economic and living conditions which led the refugees to emigrate in search of a decent life” the office stated.
It called upon the official Lebanese authorities to support the Palestinian refugees and to alleviate their suffering.
The Office of Refugee Affairs called for a popular and official Palestinian action to include this massacre within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and to apply the Court rules to the criminals.
It affirmed that those fighting our people are only serving the Israeli occupation and that the Palestinian issue must be kept away from any political conflicts.
