A large crowd of  Gazans headed by the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh , and leaders from Hamas and other Palestinian factions  participated Wednesday in the funeral procession of  the deceased , Muhammad Hassan, the ex-detainee and one of Al Qassam members. Hassan, 61 years  who was released in the prisoner exchange deal 2011, died this morning after a long battle with cancer.

During the funeral ceremony, Haniyeh praised the late  Hassan, indicating that he spent his life in the path of resistance and  inside Israeli prisons.

He pointed out the Hassan was an  icon  of Palestinian resistance and one of the pioneer freedom fighters . Haniyeh also asserted that Hamas will continue in the same path and will remain loyal to Hassan’s memory.
