Report: 1,854 Israeli violations against Palestinians in West Bank in October

The Israeli occupation army has perpetrated 1,854 violations against Palestinian citizens and their properties in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem over the past month, a report by Hamas’ Information Office found.

According to the report, Israeli occupation forces killed last month two Palestinian citizens and injured 154 others.

During October, Israeli occupation troops arrested 384 Palestinian citizens and demolished 16 Palestinian homes.

The report documented 28 Israeli assaults at Palestinian holy sites and places of worship, noting that 1,057 Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation forces, stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in October. 

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities banned 14 Palestinian citizens from accessing al-Aqsa Mosque, including Sheikh Najeh Bkirat, deputy director of the Islamic Awqaf in occupied Jerusalem, an official from the Islamic Awqaf, and guards at the Muslim sacred compound.

Over the past month, Israeli occupation forces conducted 356 raids in Palestinian towns and villages across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, in which 159 Palestinian houses were stormed and ransacked.

The Israeli occupation army, in addition, set up 388 permanent and temporary military checkpoints in several areas across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. 

Last month, the Israeli occupation military knocked down 16 Palestinian houses, nine of them in Jerusalem, and 32 structures, including shops and agricultural facilities and delivered demolition notices against dozens of homes others.

Some 20 Palestinian-owned properties, including equipment, vehicles, construction materials and tents, were confiscated by Israeli occupation forces during last month.  

The report recorded 71 attacks against Palestinian citizens by Israeli settlers and 27 illegal settlement activities, including seizing and bulldozing Palestinian land, building roads for Israeli settlers only, and approving the construction of settlement units.

During the olive picking season, Israeli settlers have repeatedly attacked Palestinian farmers, looted their crops, and banned them from accessing their lands, in addition to uprooting fruitful olive trees.

Jerusalem, Hebron, and Bethlehem were most affected by Israeli violations, where 360, 285, and 234 violations were documented respectively.
