The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned the death of Egyptian lawyer and thinker Tariq Al-Bishri, who passed away on Friday morning.

“Al-Bishri died after a long eventful life, in which he was a prominent figure in the Arab world and one of its senior intellectuals and law moguls and was known for his wisdom, integrity, honesty, and nobility,” Hamas explained in a press statement.

“He left us at a time in which his country and nation need him and the Palestine cause, which he loved and defended in all forums, as well,” the Palestinian movement continued.

“May Allah shower the deceased with His mercy,” Hamas concluded, offering its sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, and students.
