Commenting on the occupation forces’ arrest of dozens of Birzeit University students during their participation in a solidarity visit with the family of the heroic detainee Montaser Shalabi, Hamas stated the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemns the occupation forces’ arrest of dozens of Birzeit University students during their participation in a solidarity visit with the family of the heroic detainee Montaser Shalabi in the town of Turmusaya, north of Ramallah.

We affirm that the occupation's attempts will fail to harm the spirit of resistance among the Palestinian people, and this miserable attempt for intimidation, in which the occupation mobilized all its security services to announce in a military statement the arrest of dozens of activists of the Islamic bloc, are show off moves that will not frighten the Palestinian people in expressing their loyalty to the families of the detainees, the martyrs and the wounded, and they will always be proud of.

We salute the students of Birzeit University and all the students of the student movement, as it was and still is the backup of the resistance in thought and action, and these strongholds that are integral to the revolution will remain in support of the resistance and loyal to it.
