The Israeli occupation authorities and its media outlets try to make false claims about the Palestinian protests in the Negev.

The Israeli occupation's media outlets wonder why Palestinians protest the “forestation” of the Negev desert and planting trees between villages. People and media outlets everywhere are deceived by the Israeli occupation’s claims about this issue. 

But why do the Palestinians uproot the trees and oppose the Israeli occupation's plans and protest against planting the trees?

First: Although planting trees is a good action, no one has the right to do it without the consent of the land’s owners. 

Second: The Israeli occupation uses chemicals to kill the trees and ruin the fruits on trees owned by the Palestinian residents of the Negev, and it spoils all forms of life—the Israeli occupation adopts a double-standard approach towards the issue.  

Third: The Israeli occupation has made the policy of constructing a colonial settlement around every tree planted.

Fourth: The Israeli occupation uses the term “forestation” of the Negev and “development” of Galilee. But both end up with Judaization and colonial settlement in reality.

Fifth: The Israeli occupation carefully chooses the spots for planting—all these swaths of lands are disputed. After plantation, however, the ownership of these lands will be transferred to the Jewish National Fund. Therefore, they will be stolen from their Palestinian owners in broad daylight.

Sixth: The confiscation of the said lands will disconnect other Palestinian villages from each other and make the process of confiscation of Palestinian land, the containment of Palestinian residents of the Negev, and signaling them out easier for Israeli occupation authorities in the future.

Seventh: The Israeli occupation authorities have aborted all attempts of the Palestinian people in the Negev to legitimize their existence in their own villages and cities where they have been living for centuries.
