Member of Hamas Political Bureau, Dr. Musa Abu Marzouq, met the Secretary-General and Spokesperson for India's Janata Dal Party, Mr. KC Tyagi.

Abu Marzouk presented Tyagi with the political developments related to the Palestinian issue, stressing the continuous quest of our Palestinian people to gain their freedom and return to their land.

Abu Marzouk expressed Hamas's appreciation of the Indian people's historical positions in support of Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people, in addition to the Indian Supreme Court's decision condemning and criminalizing insulting Prophet Muhammed.

The two parties discussed ways to strengthen the relations with the Republic of India at the official and popular levels in the interest of the Palestinian and Indian peoples.

For his part, Tyagi affirmed his country's and party's support for the just Palestinian cause, their firm position in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, and the need to enhance India's involvement in the Palestinian cause, its communication with Hamas, and the exchange of visits and meetings with Indian officials.
