Local sources reported that a Palestinian child from Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Al-Khalil, lost his eye, on Saturday, after Israeli occupation soldiers shot him with a rubber-coated steel bullet.

The child, Ziad Mohammad Abu Ayyash, 15, was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet directly in the right eye, causing extensive damage to the eye, before being transferred to Jordan for medical treatment, the sources added.

An Israeli soldier shot the Palestinian kid at a checkpoint near the main entrance to the refugee camp, where dozens of Palestinians marched against the dangerously escalating Israeli violations, including the recent offensive against Gaza, the killing of a Palestinian in Al-Khalil city, and the assassination of the three Palestinians in Jenin.
