The Israeli occupation has killed seven Palestinian citizens in occupied Jerusalem since the start of this year, a report by the Jerusalem governorate has found.

According to the report, the Israeli occupation authorities withheld the bodies of Palestinian martyrs Khairi Alqam and Hussein Qaraqe, in addition to the child Wadih Abu Ramouz, raising the number of Palestinian bodies held in the infamous "cemeteries of numbers" to 24.

The report explained that 59 Palestinian citizens of occupied Jerusalem had suffered injuries so far this year after being shot with live rounds and rubber-coated metal bullets or being violently beaten up by Israeli occupation forces.

During the first quarter of 2023, 117 Palestinian structures were destroyed in occupied Jerusalem and 120 more were delivered demolition notices by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Israeli colonial settlers have intensified their attacks against Palestinian Jerusalemites, with 54 assaults reported during the same period, mostly in March.

At least 11,454 Israeli colonial settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the first three months of this year.

The Israeli occupation authorities detained 736 Palestinian citizens from across occupied Jerusalem, including over 110 children and some 26 women.

Israeli courts issued 76 jail terms and 36 administrative detention orders against Palestinian Jerusalemites and imposed hefty fines on them.

In 2023, the Israeli occupation authorities issued 83 house arrest orders and at least 79 orders banning Palestinian Jerusalemites from accessing some areas in occupied Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli occupation authorities also slapped travel bans on 10 Palestinian citizens of occupied Jerusalem.

Since the beginning of 2023, the Israeli occupation government approved eight new illegal settlement plans in occupied Jerusalem.
