The Palestine Information Center documented 3027 violations committed by the Israeli occupation last June in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In a monthly report on the Israeli occupation’s crimes in Palestine, the Center said that the Israeli occupation killed 21 Palestinian citizens last June. According to the report, the occupation forces withheld the dead bodies of some Palestinians killed.

Israeli occupation forces also killed five Palestinians including Palestinian child Mohammed Al-Tamimi, two years and a half. He sustained serious injury after an Israeli soldier shot him in the head.

Around 759 Palestinian civilians were wounded by Israeli gunfire, some of them are women, children, and elderly people. The Israeli occupation opened fire on Palestinians 186 times in June.

The report explained that a large number of Israeli soldiers invaded the Palestinian city of Jenin on 19 June, which led to violent confrontations with Palestinians.

The Israeli occupation targeted Palestinian civilians with live ammunition and tear gas canisters, leaving five Palestinians dead and 91 injured. Around 23 of the wounded Palestinians suffered a critical condition.

A group of Israeli settlers also burned the Holy Quran on 25 June while attacking the Urif village in South Nablus. The settlers also went on provoking Palestinians by ransacking mosques in the village.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities have deported two Palestinian citizens from Jerusalem and detained 68 Palestinian Jerusalemites in June. The Centre also said 425 Palestinians were detained across the West Bank in the same month.

In terms of colonial settlement expansion, the Israeli occupation continued to colonise more Palestinian lands, with more than 22 settlement activities documented in June. Such activities varied from confiscating properties and annexing Palestinian lands to constructing settlement units across the West Bank.

 Additionally, Israeli occupation forces and settlers destroyed 138 commercial establishments across the West Bank in the same month.   

The violations against mosques and worship sites hit 23, and 33 Palestinian residential areas were closed by installing 358 mobile or permanent checkpoints in the West Bank.
