Member of Hamas political bureau Musa Abu Marzouq condemned the Temple Mount movement's calls to break into the Al-Aqsa mosque compound during the Jewish holidays in the middle of this month.

In a press statement, the senior Hamas official explained that the Israeli occupation continues to demolish homes of Palestinian Jerusalemites and ban raising Palestinian flags in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.

Abu Maqzouq has warned against the ongoing Israeli colonial plans to break the will of Palestinian Jerusalemites and whitewash their issue by sponsoring educational and cultural activities aimed at altering the Arab and Palestinian features of the holy city.
