The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas denounces the excavation of a new tunnel beneath the al-Aqsa Mosque, extending from the al-Buraq Plaza to the Umayyad Palaces, viewing it as a continuation of the aggressive policy pursued by Israeli colonial occupation.

Hamas reiterates that the construction of this tunnel is a malicious attempt to Judaise occupied Jerusalem and assert Israeli control over al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Palestinian resistance movement also emphasises that the Israeli occupation's policy of spreading falsehoods and distorting historical facts will not confer legitimacy upon the fascist Israeli occupation of Palestine.
